ELLESSE X LIAM HODGES

snow patrol

I was approached by London designer Liam Hodges to help him and his team create some futuristic “enhanced” visuals for the collection he designed for the Italian heritage brand Ellesse.

The “snowear” apparel styles and footwear designs geared towards skiing and snowboarding and Liam’s idea was to shoot the looks on location in actual mindblowing snowy landscapes in Poland.

My job consisted then on designing a snow vehicle that had some very clean esthetics and which looked badass and a bit cheesy at the same time.

I based the model on an existing snowmobile but modeled additional futuristic parts and modified the frame of the vehicle.

Items are inspired by the Ellesse archives, with a focus on the brand’s skiwear heritage. Key pieces include ski jackets, trousers and tracksuits, while footwear styles inspired by 1990s chunky trainers and moon boots feature velcro detailing and rubber soles. Eyecatching prints include reworkings of geographical maps, microscopic details of snow and a fusion of the Liam Hodges and Ellesse logos, all in a bright alpine colour palette of blue, white and grey.
